INFORMATION:

When you change your password you must update all devices and settings that have your password saved. Otherwise those devices and settings will continue to use the old password. Continued use of the old password will count as a bad password attempt and after 10 bad passwords in 30 minutes the system security will lock your account for 30 minutes.

If you cannot access all your devices to update right now you may want to wait on changing your password. However, if you know or feel that your password has been compromised and is known by someone else then you should change it right away. Changing the password will prevent their unauthorized access protecting your information. Any attempt they make with the old password will be counted and logged as a bad password attempt.

If your account should lock, you can use the Unlock feature of PWChange to unlock it by answering the 3 question that you selected when you enrolled. If you have not already enrolled, you can do that from the main menu by selecting Enroll.

For questions or any password needs, please feel free to contact the IT Help Desk at 614-236-6508 or helpdesk@capital.edu.
